Project Description

CEI has assisted the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) with multiple roadway improvement projects including projects located in Walpole, Charlestown, Troy, and Peterborough. Projects varied but included roadway widening and realignment, as well as bridge upgrades and enlargement. Along with assisting with roadway improvements, CEI also completed extensive environmental analysis of the surrounding areas to determine potential project impacts. Work completed includes extensive wetlands flagging, wetlands and shoreland program permitting, comprehensive stream crossing analysis and stream channel hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, resource area impact accounting and alternatives analysis, determining options for compensatory flood storage, and analysis of feasible drainage improvement options. CEI also used MicroStation extensively as part of the design and permitting process, carefully adhering to NHDOT’s CADD standards to successfully share project files across multiple design companies and permitting agencies.
