Project Description

CEI worked with project stakeholders to design and construct green street improvements as part of this EPA and MassDEP funded water quality improvement project. Working with the Manchaug Pond Foundation and the Town of Sutton, CEI designed, permitted, and provided construction oversight for the removal of a large portion of the Manchaug Pond Boat Ramp Parking Lot impervious pavement. With design approval from the MA Office of Fishing and Boating Access, a grassed geoblock infiltration system was installed to increase stormwater infiltration and reduce direct runoff from the parking lot into Manchaug Pond. Funding was later obtained to increase infiltration and reduce water quality impacts in other areas of this parking lot/boat ramp.
