property management - environmental services

Back to Project

Project Description

CEI provided site assessment, remediation and general environmental support for Real Estate Investment Trust, who at the time acquired, owned, managed, leased and redeveloped primarily grocer-anchored neighborhood and community shopping centers in the Eastern and Midwestern United States. With over 150 properties in 30 states at the time, CEI supported regional properties through the completion and review of Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments for due diligence and the design and implementation of additional investigation and remedial activities. Additionally, CEI developed a central database for property managers to track environmental issues with an emphasis on identifying and addressing potential environmental liabilities before they became a problem; providing a timely response to environmental issues; and providing a clear line of communication to address environmental concerns with accurate historical data and current information. Complementing this effort, CEI developed training material for their national property managers conference on topics that included hazardous materials, asbestos, transformers and PCB equipment, USTs/ASTs, dry cleaners, and emergency response.
