Permitting for Reservoir Dredging

This complex project involved dredging of approximately 1.4 million cubic yards of bottom sediment from a public supply reservoir in an area under a state water emergency status. Tasks included complete environmental permitting, project design and monitoring, and construction oversight.

Extensive permitting required the cooperative reviews and approvals from multiple public agencies, including the Conservation Commissions from the respective municipalities, several bureaus within the MA Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. EPA and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
