CEI was contracted to conduct an independent review of sewering options available for the Town of Lancaster, MA. To complete this task, CEI conducted: extensive file reviews; interviews with local, regional, and state officials; research of applicable technologies and reviewed for feasibility; and technical and cost reviews of existing sewer plans and specifications. The recommended alternatives were then evaluated based on cost, environmental impact, feasibility, and public health and presented to the Town. Based on the decision by the Town, additional evaluation was conducted by CEI to determine the most cost-effective and fair method of financing and allocating costs within the Town.
