Our engineers have dealt with all aspects of solid waste, from management of residential disposal and "Pay as You Throw" programs to landfill closure and transfer station design. Understanding

CEI recognizes the difficulty that towns have in dealing with solid waste, and we work hard to minimize our client's costs through innovative transfer station design methods and closure plans.

Reducing Costs

As the client's advocate, it is our job to minimize our client's costs by limiting the scope of work to only what is needed to meet permit and other regulatory requirements. For example, the number of ground water and gas monitoring wells needed around a landfill can often be limited by careful placement, and the cost savings over the required 30 year monitoring period can be significant. Closure costs can also be reduced by modifying the sequencing plan.
