A typical example is shown above, in Arlington, Massachusetts. Here, CEI reviewed all of the previous studies for Spy Pond, which dated back to the 1970s and all with varying recommendations, but none with implementation. CEI developed a project from these past studies and from other existing data and without further study submitted successful grant applications totaling over $450,000 in restoration monies. Much of the project has been completed towards the restoration of this important municipal resource. Typical grants and loans CEI has won for clients include:
- Clean Water State Revolving Funds (SRF)
- Safe Drinking Water SRF
- Section 319 Non-point Source grants
- Coastal Zone Management grants
- Source Water Protection grants
- Monitoring grants
- Education grants
- Brownfields grants
- Economic development grants
- Rural community grants and loans
