Comprehensive Environmental Inc. (CEI) was the principal contractor working for the Department of Conservation & Recreation (formerly MDC) to reclaim the 28 acres of unused industrial land for an expansion of Boston's Emerald Necklace Parklands.

In addition to the development of MCP documentation, CEI conducted a detailed facility audit of the run down factories and warehouses on the property including interior building sampling and drilling programs to determine the nature and extent of suspected releases beneath the buildings' floor slabs.

CEI was responsible for the development and construction oversight of the remedial program for the site wide reclamation project and was responsible for agency negotiation, which saved the project over $2.5 million in remedial costs.

CEI also provided direct technical support during property acquisition to the Attorney General's office for developing Escrow Account retainage cost-to-cure for individual property clean ups.
